Lakeridge Health Port Perry receives new CT scanner on Monday, June 12, 2023, thanks to the "Here for You" campaign. Officials say diagnostic equipment could be online for patients as early as June 19.

This morning's torrential downpour did not impede the arrival of the much anticipated CT scanner at Lakeridge Health Port Perry. Staff and representatives from Lakeridge Health, the Port Perry Hospital Foundation, and the Auxiliary to Lakeridge Health Port Perry gathered with local media and members of the community to celebrate this important milestone for patient care in Scugog.

This is an important day for the community that relies on the Port Perry Hospital. Until now, patients requiring a CT scan have had to be transported to other Lakeridge Health hospitals for this important diagnostic scan, often in emergency medical situations. Having a CT available right on site will change how care is delivered for patients every day here in Port Perry.

Port Perry Pedals was conceived around the "Here for You" campaign in 2021 and raised over $40,000 toward the $4 million campaign to bring life-saving medical equipment to Port Perry.

Thank you to our generous donors, sponsors, and to all those who participated in Port Perry Pedals – you helped make this day become reality.
